You will receive an email invite to migrate your account to the U-M Dropbox domain. Enter your email address and your personal account password.Your collaborations will remain untouched when the accounts are combined. You will then be taken to the U-M Dropbox homepage, and your files and folder structures should be there. Select Transfer to University of Michigan when prompted.There are two possible scenarios you may encounter: Scenario #1 We recommend you choose to keep the accounts separate by changing the email address associated with your personal Dropbox account before joining U-M Dropbox. You will have to manually download any data you wish to keep before you leave the university. There is no way to separate the two accounts after they've been combined. When you leave the university, you lose access to U-M Dropbox, which means you also lose access to any personal data that you migrated to your U-M account. Caution: It is not recommended that you choose to migrate/combine your personal account with your U-M Dropbox account.
